We collect information you provide when registering (name, email, password hash) and information generated through your use of the Platform (trade history, portfolio data, session data, IP address, browser type).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to: provide and improve the Platform; send transactional emails (verification, password reset, trade confirmations); send optional reward and notification emails; detect and prevent fraud; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and browser local storage to maintain your login session and preferences. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the Platform to function. You may disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect functionality.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only with: (a) service providers necessary to operate the Platform (e.g., MongoDB Atlas for database hosting, email service providers); (b) law enforcement when required by law. All processors are bound by data processing agreements.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including bcrypt password hashing, JWT-based authentication with secure expiry, TLS encryption in transit, and MongoDB Atlas encryption at rest. No system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@trunkcoins.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
TrunkCoins is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
